The Gangs All Meer Card ~ Happy Birthday Card

Hello everyone and welcome back to my little blog and thanks for reading today.
Happy belated Australia Day! Today is the public holiday here in Australia but I am at work, still thought I would pop in an quickly share this fun card that I CASE'd from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue using this super fun The Gangs are all Meer stamp set with a fun masking technique.

I had so much fun making this card, and just spotlighting a couple of the meerkats and putting fun birthday hats on them.

I hope you enjoy this share of one of my crafty creations today. Be sure to check below for all the products I have used which link to my store where you can purchase them all.

I really enjoyed playing with this masking technique, and it is something that is actually easier than it appears.
You can see more about this fun technique below where the fabulous Brian from Stampin' Up! shows just how easy it is!

Here's a close up of the finished card where you can see all the finer details.
I have added some of those fun Mini Library Clips, some Best Dressed 6x6 Designer Series Paper and some of the GORGEOUS Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets (they are just the cutest).

For the fun meerkats, I have stamped them in Crumb Cake and then used an Aqua Painter and some Crumb Cake ink to highlight just three of them.

The fun little party hats are stamped in Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay and Lovely Lipstick.

I just had to decorate the inside of the card, by adding some layers and stamping just one fabulous little meerkat to finish it off.

I can't wait to gift this card to a special someone.

I hope that you have enjoyed this post today, and some inspiration using one of our fun stamp sets.

Heartfelt ~ Friendship Card ~ Ink + Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello lovely blog readers and welcome to my blog & thanks for much for visiting.
Today I am participating in a fabulous blog hop with a great group of talented paper crafters.
Today we are sharing those lovey dovey projects!
Valentine's Day isn't a huge thing here in Australia, and I don't so much celebrate it myself - but I just love the cute products that Stampin' Up! designed for us to use.

Today I have chosen to make a cute card, but used a friendship sentiment instead of a Valentine's Day specific sentiment.
I love that Stampin' Up! designs with all crafters from all around the globe in mind.
Don't do Valentines Day? That's ok - this set is very versatile!

Here's a look my finished card.

To create this card I followed these steps:
  • Cut a card base from Whisper White to your standard card base.
  • Cut a layer 1/8'' smaller from Basic Black to adhere to the Pineapple Punch base.
  • Cut a piece of Thick Whisper White to 1/8'' smaller than your previous layer of Whisper White. I have then taken some Sparkle Glimmer Paper and cut to the same size as my Whisper White layer in width, but only made it 2.5'' in height.
I then took two patterns from the From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper and cut one piece to 3'' in height and the same width as the Whisper White Layer. I have adhered both the Sparkle Glimmer and DSP. I then took a 1/2'' strip of From My Heart DSP and adhered this to where these two pieces join.
  • I have used the Heart Punches from the bundle and cut the scalloped heart from some Flirty Flamingo cardstock and then also punched a heart out using the straight edge heart punch from the From My Heart DSP. On the straight edge heart, I have stamped a sentiment "So lucky to have a friend like you" in Memento Black. Adhere these two hearts together.
  • Take some Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle and tie a large bow as shown and I have adhered this over the top of the 1/2'' strip with Glue Dots. Now adhere your heart over the top of this with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • To embellish I have added a White Library Clip and some From My Heart Faceted Gems.
  • To decorate the inside, I have added a layer of Basic Black and layer of Whisper White cardstock and stamped a sentiment in Memento Black and a heart in Flirty Flamingo ink.

You can see all the lovely blogs from all the lovely people that took part in the hop here:

Here's a close up where you can see some of the detail of the card.
The Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle is actually probably my favourite ribbon/trim. I just love the soft and subtle texture it gives.

Couldn't be having a naked card, so had to decorate the inside, and who could resist with an adorable sentiment like that?

I hope you enjoyed today's card and got some inspiration to get creating.

Crafty hugs! xx

Peaceful Poppies & Bird Ballad ~ Thank You Card

Hi guys and welcome back to my little blog.

Today I am really excited to be sharing a card with you that I made this week and shared live on my Facebook page today. Be sure to check below for the video recording.

I will admit this card came about because I was sitting at my craft desk and playing with the Peaceful Poppies elements and having the time of my life watercoloring and having fun making up all kinds of colour combinations + I  may have been slightly challenging myself to use Very Vanilla in a colour combo..I'm a white kinda girl!

This card came about just because I was on a mission to try different colours, have some relaxing time watercolouring and challenging myself to use some vanilla,

I hope that you enjoy...

Here's a look at the finished card where you can see all the different elements.
I just loved combining this set with the stamps from the Bird Ballad Stamp Set for a cute little thank you/friendship card & I need plenty of those with all the amazing friends I have in my life!

I was keen to get the gold happening so I combined some Gold Glimmer hearts, a Glimmer strip and some Gold heat embossing for a bit of sparkle.

I have used heaps of the Peaceful Poppies Elements on this card with some of the Watercolour poppies, leaves and also some of the Basic Black embossed elements and even a vellum piece for the inside of the card.

Those elements are such good value with so many pieces inside!
You can buy them in my store, see all the products I have used linked below.

Here's a video showing the process of making this card (apologies for the random rambling and additional input from Mr. 5 year old in the background)

Here's a close up of the finished card where you can see the fun texture that those watercolour pieces add! Teamed with a fun thank you sentiment and touches of gold, I was in love.

Be sure to check out the video, as I did make this card in a different colour combo! You will have to let me know which one you like best!

I just had to decorate the inside of the card and I used one of the vellum pieces, which I showed how to colour in my video. I also used another sentiment from the Bird Ballad stamp set. I just love the font in that stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed this post today sharing yet more beautiful products from Stampin’ Up!
Be sure to go and check out my Facebook page so you never miss a live video.
