Hello Notecards ~ Beautiful Bouquet

Welcome to today's blog post featuring the gorgeous BEAUTIFUL BOUQUET bundle and the gorgeous Whisper White Notecards.
I have fallen a little bit in love with this mini notecard size. It's perfect for those cute little notes you want to send a friend, which is where the inspiration for these cards hit.
These little bunches of flowers would be the perfect pick me up for so many of my gorgeous friends. I love the new bouquet stamps and I will admit when I got stamping, I stamped 100's of these pretty flowers in all sorts of colours and spent hours cutting them all out on the BigShot so I have many ready for when I feel like making bouquets!

The notecards are a fantastic (and economical) way of buying cards also and better still they are sold with coordinating envelopes so you don't have to worry about finding envelopes the right size!

Here's a look at the gorgeous Notecards. They are just $10.50 for a pack of 20!

Now to the cards that I made...as you can see once I got on a roll, I didn't stop!

I made a set of five in the end and I used the Wood Textures Paper stack as a background for each card. I love how it made the colours of the flowers really pop and with that paper stack there are so many different textures to choose from, so each card comes out looking different!

I spent a lot of time cutting out all the components of the bouquet I needed before I even assembled any of the cards, so once that bit was done the art of putting them all together was really easy.

Here's a look at the bundle so you can get an idea of the different options available.

As you can see there are so many pieces!! It really is a great value bundle.
I didn't know where to start (and stop!)

I am going to share some close ups of the cards I made so you can see in better detail.
I hope you enjoy.

I hope I have inspired you to create some flowery cards for yourself!
These would be fun ones to play with different colour combos and backgrounds!

You can even touch them  up a notch by adding centres to the flowers...but I kind of forgot to do that. Haha!

I hope you enjoyed reading along today.

Happy Hour ~ Mixed Drinks

Welcome back to my blog today.
After my big photo taking session the other day where I tackled the huge pile of projects I had sitting to be photographed I realised that I had made several using Embossing Paste, so I thought I would try and post some consecutively.
This one follows on from the theme of the Naturally Eclectic cards that I posted using the coloured embossing paste.
I wanted to however make a masculine card for my Brother in Law and the Mixed Drinks stamp set was perfect.
Then I got thinking to the embossing paste and how it could make some pretty cool beer foam.
I hope you enjoy some pictures and a close up of how I achieved this.
See the bottom of the post for all the products that I have used.

Here's a look at the whole card.
I have used a colour scheme of Basic Grey, Dapper Denim, Gold and Crushed Curry (for the beer) with a touch of Crumb Cake for the bubbles (which I thought played well into the theme of beer bubbles. I used the Playful Backgrounds stamp for the bubbles.

I love this colour combo of it's masculine feel but I didn't mind adding a bit of glitz and glam as I think it's ok...I'm not one to shy away from adding a bit of glitter. Just call me the glitter fairy! ;)

Here's a close up of the card and a bit of the texture.
As you can see here from a side view the foam on the beer is textured and 'fluffy'
I achieved this by dipping the top of my palette 'spatula' into the Embossing Paste and pouncing it on top of the foam. While it was wet I sprinkled on some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter but you could quite easily omit this step.

I like to add several textures when creating so I also added some Linen Thread, Glimmer Paper and a Metallic Enamel Star in Gold to finish off the card.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this masculine card.
Thank you for your continued support in following and reading my blog.

Thanks a Bunch Cards ~ Naturally Eclectic Suite

Hi lovely blog readers and thank you for once again coming back and visiting my blog.
I have to say I totally did a MAMMOTH photo taking session of the many cards I have made and have had piled up on my desk.
I am pretty bad at photographing and blogging. OOPS!
So stay tuned for lots of upcoming blog posts.

I am really excited to share these cards with you today as they use one of the suites that I was most excited about from the new annual catalogue...the Oh So Eclectic suite.
It's gorgeous and so much fun to work with.

I am entering this card in Kylie's weekly Crazy Crafters Highlights...which reminds me that I came 2nd in last week's highlights. Thank you to everyone that voted for my coffee card.

If you would like to go and vote for my card this week you can do so here (and head along and check out all the other amazing projects that everyone else has made)

Here's a look at both of the cards that I made.
When using embossing paste it's so easy to get a few backgrounds done at once and that is what I did here. I actually ended up prepping about 8 backgrounds, so I have a few more in my stash ready to go! I absolutely love playing with this embossing paste and colouring it to make fun backgrounds.

Here's a look at a video from Stampin' Up! where they show just how awesome this paste is...

My first card featured the brick styled mask with some Berry Burst ink refill to colour it. Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist are my two favourites, have I mentioned that?

I didn't mind not filling in the whole background and being a bit messy with this because I really think that is what this whole technique is about...we all love to get messy from time to time!

I added a bit of Soft Sky into the mix to soften things down and I used a gorgeous sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. If you are looking for cute sentiments, that is a great set to have because it comes with so many.

Without trying to be too bias this is definitely my favourite of the two cards. That might have something to do with the fact that it features predominately Lemon Lime Twist which is hands down my favourite colour. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE this mask. It has a gorgeous Eastern Medallion feel. A bit like one of our other suites in the catalogue. It looks great however in this bright pop of colour, especially on white!
I am also however envisioning this in white embossing paste on a dark background.

I added some gold glimmer, gold foil, linen thread, metallic enamel dots and faceted gems for extra texture and this close up shot really shows off how cool that embossing paste is.

I hope you enjoyed a look at these cards featuring the Naturally Eclectic suite and the Embossing Paste. Stay tuned as I have another card to share very soon using the Mixed Drinks set and some fluffy beer foam using the Embossing Paste.

Thanks for reading and see below for all the products I have used that link back to my shop.
As always I appreciate your support.
