Sweet Cupcake (Hello) Card

I am so excited to be back this week sharing another card I made for the weekly highlights.
I love that by participating it's encouraging me to go outside my comfort box and try new things and get into my stash and use these gorgeous new stamps that I have!
This set is no exception. I absolutely LOVE cupcakes. I used to bake so many cupcakes, and then my waist line suffered. The paper kind are so much nicer!

This set is called Sweet Cupcake and comes with a matching set of Framelits. You can buy these as a bundle and save yourself 10 percent. Definitely worth it. You can order them from my store which is linked below.

So here's the card...

I also stamped the inside with one of the cute sentiments from the stamp set. How cute is that?
If I wasn't in a rush I would have stamped a cupcake in the corner of the card also.

I also tried out my brand new embossing folder, polka dots. How cool do those big dots look?
I tried something a bit daring and distressed the edges of my cardstock. I love the way it turned out!

Here's a better look at the cupcake. I stamped it in Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo in that order (bottom to top) I love the cupcakes because they look so realistic. It's a three step stampin set so you simply start with your lightest ink and then finish with your darkest. It turns out so beautiful!
The bottom of the cupcake is stamped in Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and then Chocolate Chip.

I finished this by adding some stitching and I have placed dimensionals underneath the top of the cupcake to create some dimension. I have also used Wink of Stella on top of the Melon Mambo stamped layer for some sparkle (or you could make the whole thing sparkly!

and who couldn't finish with those adorable pearls?

Here's one last look at the card. I love the In Colour doilies. This one is Mint Macaron. It's gorgeous!! I've then adhered down my hello die cut from the Hello You Thinlets Dies set. I have cut this out using the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper set. It has gorgeous gold foiled confetti spots on it.

As I was saying above I made this card for the weekly highlights.
I will update the blog with a link back to the post when the voting opens.
I would love it if you could vote for my card!
