I am so excited to be playing along with the Global Design Project this week.
It's my first time playing along with it.
I always say that I am going to and somehow it always slips my mind *naughty*
This week the challenge was to CASE (copy and selectively edit) one of Connie Collin's gorgeous cards that you can see up on The Global Design Project blog. it's an amazing card.
You know what though, upon searching for something to use on the card I realised I am in severe shortage of floral stamp sets. WHAT?
How did that happen?
I thought I loved all things girly and floral, but apparently I don't buy them!
So I conquered one of my creative challenges and decided to use *for the first time* a stamp set that had me stumped, that I didn't know how to use.
Yes, you heard right. I have NEVER used the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set or punch bundle.
Today I can finally say, it's been inked!
I also really loved the dapper denim and melon mambo combination and think that I will be using that again in the near future.
I ended up CASE'ing the basic layout of Connie's card and the idea of a floral.
Luckily I have some new floral sets on the way soon!
I have finished off the card with the gorgeous sentiment and banner from Bunch of Banners. That's also a new stamp set to my ever growing stash and I just love it.
It comes with matching thinlets which I love, because who seriously enjoys fussy cutting?
Even those petals came with a punch!
I think the card looks finished with that gorgeous Fancy Frost specialty paper which I snapped up in the Online Extravaganza sale last week. Bargain!
I hope you get time to play along with the Global Design project too!
