May all Your Chocolate be Solid ~ Easter Fun Pull Up Cards

Hello and welcome back to my blog!
I can't BELIEVE I am blogging TWICE in one day, but I just had to come back and share these awesome cards before the weekend.

I want to have full disclosure here.
I may have a total stamping crush on Wendy Cranford. She is a lovely USA demonstrator that is very talented. I was having a look on her blog and stumbled by these cards she made and do you know what? I didn't even own the Basket Bunches stamp set!!!
BUT these cards made me buy it! Seriously!

So here we are, a total CASE (copy & share everything) but now I am so inspired to use this stamp set more and I can't wait to see what else I can make with it.

I have already given one of these cards to one of my beautiful customers with a little easter gift for an order she recently made and she loved it!

Here is Wendy's gorgeous card and you can find her blog here.
You can also find a video tutorial for this card on her blog in the direct blog post here.

Now onto my version of the card...

I added some clouds cut out of the Up & Away thinlets dies in the Dazzling diamonds glimmer paper.
I loved the extra effect this gave.
The lighting was pretty crappy when I took photos of these cards, so unfortunately they are looking a bit dark.
I am wishing now that I had retaken them!

Here's a look at the cards with the pulling mechanism pulled up so you can see the bunny pop out of the basket.
In Wendy's example, she has coloured the little bow in pink, which in retrospect I really wish I had done. This bunny is stamped on Smoky Slate but of course you could stamp the bunny on white and colour him in with either inks or our fabulous watercolour pencils.

Here is a little look at the inside of the cards (it's the same on both) I really love to decorate the inside of my cards and it doesn't feel complete without it these days.
I have followed on some colours by using the mint macaron (from the glimmer paper on the front) to stamp some gorgeous spring flowers and some peekaboo peach to stamp a little chick.
I just love the funny little sentiment also.

Here's another little close up. I am still getting handy with my sponging and applying a nice soft sponging technique. I am hoping to show some of my ladies in my classes this soon!

I hope you have enjoyed a look at this card and I can't wait to show you more projects from this great bundle from the Stampin' Up Occasions catalogue.

Carried Away Card Tin & Lift me Up Card Set

Hi again lovely blog readers!
i am back again today to finally share a project that has been sitting on my desk ready to create for too long!
I was really inspired by Stampin' Up's YouTube video where they popped up a tutorial on how to decorate this gorgeous card tin (which unfortunately has now sold out) and these gorgeous matching cards. I was really excited with how simple and easy the design was, and wanted to get to creating.

You can see the video for yourself here;

It's a great video that goes through all the supplies you will need plus basic instructions on how to put it all together! It's definitely a must watch, while you are there check out all the other amazing videos on the Stampin' Up YouTube channel!

I haven't changed up much from what is seen in the video, except for some of the card stock colours as unfortunately my stash is running really low at the moment!
I have kept to Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron (I really wish Mint Macaron was not retiring at the end of May!!!)

I have also used my much loved linen thread instead of the white bakers twine.
Linen thread is one of my must haves and I always add at least two packets to any given order!

Here's a little close up of the detail of some of the cards. Did I mention how easy these are to put together?

This is possibly my favourite pattern from the Carried Away Designer Series Paper. It's an overhead map view and I think I just love it because of the Peekaboo Peach and Mint Macaron that features so largely in the design!
DID YOU KNOW THIS PAPER IS FREE?
Only for ONE MORE DAY as it ends TODAY. You can get it free by placing an order of $90 or more!

This is one of my other favourites as I love the bold Night of Navy design with the Whisper White balloons and clouds. Isn't it gorgeous? Look how great it looks with the Peekaboo Peach, it really makes it pop!

Finally here is a close up of the finished and decorated tin.

This tin has unfortunately sold out from the Sale-a-Bration selections but there is a tin that you can purchase from the annual catalogue with gorgeous Navy and White stripes. This would be a great alternative.

I am looking forward to decorating the inside dividers of this tin and storing all my favourite cards to be sent in the mail inside.

I hope you have enjoyed this post and a little peek of what I have been working on. x

With Sale-a-Bration being so popular and in it's very last day, unfortunately a couple of the items have SOLD OUT!
There are still plenty other choices though, get in quick to grab them on their very last day!
