In Colour 2016-2018 FEATURE ~ To a Wonderful Friend...

Welcome back to my blog and to the second part of my In Colour Feature where I am showing off the beautiful In Colours.
If you refer to my previous post I showed off the colours that are soon to be retired on May 31st.
Today I am showing the 2016-2018 colours so we still have these beauties for over a year yet, thank goodness as these are some of my favourites.

As stated in the previous post these are CASE'd (Copied and selectively edited) from the beautiful Jennifer Frost who was a Stampin' Up Artisan Team Member and her work is stunning.

I have loved CASE'ing this design because it helped me get 10 cards made and they were so easy after I had set myself up with the supplies I needed (see below for a full list of supplies used)

You can see how amazing these look all lined up together.
It makes me appreciate the colours so much more seeing them altogether like this.
It's not often I make a card that really features just one colour. I tend to use 4-5 colours on a card and sometimes that can get overwhelming.

So I challenge you to try a one colour card!

Here's a bit of a close up of the cards.
I have used the 2016-2018 Designer Series Paper Stack on these instead of stamping the background like I had on the others. This makes it an even QUICKER card to make.
So easy when you are making so many at a time!

I have used a sentiment from the Dragonfly Dreams stamp and heat embossed it in white on black card for these lovely cards. My embossing wasn't too crash hot, but we will just pretend it was suppose to be like that *wink*

DAPPER DENIM. I have loved this colour for creating bold effects and it makes a great night sky! I used it back in December for a night sky for Santa's Sleigh, it looked fantastic.
Look how great it shows up the sparkle from the clear Wink of Stella. Amazing!

SWEET SUGARPLUM. This was another one of those colours that I had to learn to love and I have only recently begun to use more. It looks absolutely great on this card and I think it looks great when colouring flowers!

EMERALD ENVY. This is definitely my FAVOURITE and you know what? When I first saw the catalogue and the colours, I HATED this colour. Haha! It's amazing in person. It has such a beautiful deep and rich tone to it. So stunning. Look at all that depth of colour.

PEEKABOO PEACH. This would have to be my second favourite colour and I am not really a fan of orange but I just love the subtleness of this beautiful peach and it combines well with SO MANY other colours. This is a must have!

FLIRTY FLAMINGO. This is a great one for girly cards or lovely dovey cards. I used this a lot with the Sealed with Love bundle. It looks great watercolored!

Here's a look at the inside of the card which I have finished off with another sentiment from Dragonfly Dreams and a matching stamped butterfly from Watercolor Wings in the cooridnating colour to the card.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog post today featuring the 2016-2018 colours and if you do like these colours be sure to go and check them out in my shop.
