In Colour Feature 2015-2017 RETIRING colours ~ You Amaze Me!

I have to say, I am totally so SAD that we are about to have a set of five of our In Colours retiring. The lovely; Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon and Cucumber Crush.
Don't get me wrong, I am REALLY excited about the new FIVE In Colours that will be introduced at Onstage, but we always have our favourites and for me that was Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder. I don't want them to go *cry*

I saw this card made on previous Stampin' Up Artisan Team Member Jennifer Frost's blog and thought there couldn't be a better way to do a feature set featuring the In Colours (I actually got so excited that I made ANOTHER set using the 2016-2018 colours too, keep an eye out for that post tomorrow or Monday)

Here's a little look at the retiring In Colours, so many gorgeous colours!
Which one are you going to miss the most?

Here's a look at the overall set of five cards I made. Don't they look gorgeous all there together?
I've already addressed and sent a couple I love them that much.
They are just such fabulous easy to make in large batches cards.
It really only took me 15 minutes to prepare 10 of the these backgrounds...I know amazing!

I made the background simply by inking up a E sized clear block all over with the ink colour I wanted and then giving it a good spritz with a spritzer (you may need paper towel and nothing you want to get inky around you)...I then used the Shimmery White paper as this can withstand a bit of water and then pressed my paper onto the block and slowly peeled from one side. I then let this dry naturally!

I have used the BANNERS FOR YOU stamp set (linked below) and chosen a simple statement "You Amaze Me" as I thought this could be really generalised for customers, friends and family for all kinds of moments. I really LOVE everyday cards!
I love all the great sentiments that Banners for You comes with!

Here's a look at the lovely Watermelon Wonder Card. This is my second favourite colour behind Mint Macaron. I am so going to miss you Watermelon Wonder, I know Shannon West from Stampin' Up will be feeling the same!
She actually made a card using Watermelon Wonder saying goodbye to Watermelon Wonder she is going to miss it that that is dedication to your craft!

I have to say that Delightful Dijon had to grow on me and grow on me it has. I really love it now and I think it looks great watercoloured! I love the watery pools that were created on this one.
This happens when you spritz more water and let it really flow and naturally dry!

Cucumber Crush is a gorgeous fun and happy colour!
I love it stamped with the monsters form the Occasions Catalogue or to colour in that gorgeous frog from the hostess set from the Annual Catalogue.

On this card due to the bright background you can really see the Wink of Stella stand out that I flicked over the background to give it some extra sparkle!

Tip Top Taupe is another colour that a lot of people are really sad to see going. So am I, it's a really great subtle and I love this colour as a card base. Once again this one has really nice watercolour pooling. I just love how watercolour is so unpredictable. That's what makes it so much fun!

And why not leave the best for last??
Please don't retire, please don't retire (Stampin' Up can you hear me????) Haha!

I have decorated the inside of the card as usual using another sentiment from Banners for You and I have stamped a coordinating butterfly from Watercolor Wings using the matching colour from the outside of the card on each one. I thought this would be a nice finishing touch.

I hope you have enjoyed this little feature of the In Colours that will be retiring on May 31st.
