Sending Smiles ~ Lift Me Up Card

It's not often that I fall in love with a stamp set so much that I sit down and create cards over and over with the same bundle.
This set was once again sitting at my desk staring at me and I just had to create with it even though I created a card that you can see in my last post.

This time I really wanted to try the dimensional shadowing look of cutting some clouds out of the base card stock and popping up the entire card front on dimensionals.

I love how it turned out!
I have used some gold paint to flick specks over the card. You could however use the Gold Wink of Stella but would achieve smaller 'specks'.

I once again used some white embossing on black card to really make the sentiment 'pop'.

I love the addition of the silver to this card. I used the 1/8th inch silver ribbon from the Annual Catalogue combined with the silver sequin trim. A touch of bling never hurt anyone...and I love adding it wherever and whenever I can!

I have also added the glitz and glam with some gold speckles.

Here's a close up of the card. There is a lot of dimension which was achieved by cutting the front card panel and I placed the cloud dies on the card panel and then I have adhered the whole panel on dimensionals. I love it and it is definitely a technique that I will be trying again.

I hope you enjoyed this look at another card I have made with the Lift Me Up bundle.
Now that it has been carried over to the new Annual Catalogue, there will be many more cards and projects to come, as it is still one of my firm favourites!

I will also be repeating this colour combo, I just love it.

Much love,

You Soar Above The Rest ~ Friday Highlights

Hi lovely blog readers and Happy Friday! There is something so relaxing about knowing that the weekend is upon us!
I am a stay at home Mum so really the definition between a weekday and a weekend isn't much but I love that my family are home and just the vibe in the air is enough to let you know that the weekend is here!

I am here today to share a recent card creation using the LIFT ME UP bundle to share with Kylie's Friday Highlights. I love this time of week as I get to hop along with my team and see what everyone else has been creating.
It's all about sharing what we love doing the most and that is being creative!

See below this post for all the products linked that I have used.

If you would like to vote for my card you can find the link to voting here.

This would have had to have been in my top 5 favourite bundles from the Occasions Catalogue and I am so excited that this gorgeous stamp set will be carrying over into our brand new catalogue!

I am beyond thrilled. It means I have a whole other year to create lovely projects with it.

I have teamed the card up with a lovely colour combination of Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky and Flirty Flamingo. I just love how it turned out.

I have used my layering square framelits to create this offset square and that is easily achieved by layering both a straight edge square and scalloped edged square together. These are a fabulous staple that I have in my stash and I have them in Circles, Ovals and Squares so I am set for anything!

It's definitely a product I recommend getting to be able to do so much more with your cards and craft creations.

As you can see I have also done some repetitive stamping on the background using the "Congratulations, You Soar Above the Rest" stamp. I love the visual effect that this gives. I have accentuated this sentiment by then stamping it on the black cardstock with Versamark and embossing it in white.
*It is really important when embossing on black card to run your Embossing Buddy over first as black will show up any of those awkward specks of embossing powder that statically cling to your cardstock so easily. The Embossing Buddy makes sure the embossing powder will only stick where the Versarmark touches the paper.

I have finished off this card with a bit of sponging using a cloud die cut and a lightly inked sponge with Soft Sky. I love how it makes my clouds appear nice and fluffy.

I have then finished this by stamping some smaller hot air balloons in Peekaboo Peach.

There is nothing better than a nicely finished card insert.

I hope you have enjoyed this post today sharing one of my cards with you.
I hope you pop over to the link at the beginning of the post and check out all the other cards in today's highlights and vote for mine if you like it :)

Much love,

Life is a Beautiful Thing ~ PPP Blog Hop

Welcome to another Crazy Crafter's Blog Hop. You may be starting the blog hop right here on my blog or you may have come from elsewhere. Either way I hope you enjoy and please be sure to scroll down and check out all the other blogs on the list.

This blog hop we are featuring the brand new products from the upcoming annual catalogue that we either purchased from our PPP (product purchase premiere at Onstage) or through the Eastern Palace pre-order.

I am happy to have both and boy was it hard to choose what to create for this blog hop with so many new goodies to play with.

I ended up settling for the Colourful Seasons suite of products featuring the beautiful Berry Burst, Old Olive and Crushed Curry colours.

I have teamed these gorgeous products with the beautiful Gold Glimmer paper which really made the project shine. I have also added the gorgeous Stitched Shapes framelits in ovals to accentuate this gorgeous sentiment "Life is a Beautiful Thing" and then inside I have added "Just Breathe".

Here is a full look at the card.
I love how it turned out.
I used the 6x6 designer paper stack with the ombre effect paper to create the scallops using the matching ' Seasonal Layers Thinlets Dies'.  I really really want to try a monochrome effect card with the same technique.

Here's a bit of a close up. I decided to feature a lot of gold on this card with the gorgeous gold glimmer paper both behind the oval layer and also one of the intricate leaf patterns out of the matching Colourful Seasons Thinlets set.
I also gold embossed the veins on the autumn leaves.

What a perfect card for Autumn which we are experiencing here in Tasmania at the moment.
Although having said that in Tasmania where I live we get a harsh winter and then Summer. We don't tend to get in between seasons.

Here is the inside of the card.
I thought it was the perfect finishing piece for the card. I just love these fonts featured in this stamp set. I have also used Wink of Stella on the beautiful Autumn leaf while the ink was still a bit wet, so I blended the colour together.

Thank you so much for reading my blog.
You can check out all the other gorgeous creations on the blog hop here;

Don't forget, if you would like a catalogue you can request one to be sent to you for free here.
