Welcome back to my blog for another international project highlights post.
If you have hopped along to my blog from Kylie Bertucci's blog I am Kayla MacAulay and I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from Tasmania Australia.
The theme this month is to create a project that is masculine.
I have loved the Mixed Drinks set since I very first signed up to Stampin' Up! a year ago and it has been in my stash every since. I have however had limited opportunities to use it so I took this as a great opportunity to make a card that I am sure a lot of guys would love!
I hope you enjoy...
p.s. If you like my card, I would love you to vote for it. You can go along and vote for your favourite card by clicking here.
I was actually initially inspired by the colours in the Urban Underground Designer Series Paper to create this card. I love the mixture of grays and black with the gorgeous Delighful Dijon to create the 'beer'. Mixed and combined with the textures from the metallic thread and burlap ribbon, I think it gives it a really authentic masculine feel.
I took the liberty to stamp the inside of the card also as I really love to have it match with the front. Not to mention how great do the sentiments in this stamp set match up for inside and out?
I love it when Stampin' Up! do that.
Here is a close up of the texture I have created.
I finished the glass of beer by adding a layer of clear Wink of Stella to the beer foam to give it that authentic shimmery shine! There is nothing wrong with a bit of glitz on a male card ;)
Here's a look at the colour combination I have used for this card.
