Memories & More Perfect Day ~ Memory Keeping

Hello lovely blog readers.
I hope you are having a fabulous day/night wherever you may be.
I have had a very quiet day at home and to be honest I've been a bit under the weather. I haven't been getting much done and so I sat at my desk and thought up a project to work on.

I have a little secret to tell you...I was primarily a scrapbooker/memory keeper before I ever even attempted to make a card, in fact making cards isn't easy for me as I a scrapbooker through and through BUT I stopped scrapbooking for TWO years in between moving houses and some life changes. It was all to hard to pack up, move, unpack etc...

So with the ease of the brand new Memories & More line from Stampin' Up! I was able to make this two page spread with very minimal supplies and keep a nice clean aesthetic...
AND...I really enjoyed it.

Here's a little up and close of the actual card kit and some of the samples provided by Stampin' Up! As you can see it's not limited to just memory keeping but also making cards and even scrapbook pages!

I used two types of pocket page protectors, a divided 3x4 pocket and a 6x8 pocket.
I loved mixing the two, and I am all for mixing it up.
I probably won't even put these in a 6x8 album, why not mix them in with 12x12 pages in a traditional 12x12 sized album? I will share more on my album organisation soon!

For this particular page I have used the Perfect Days Memories & More Card pack as the inspiration and stuck with the colour palette; Emerald Envy, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist with touches of Black. I love how it turned out.

I really enjoyed using the brand new Circle Tab Punch and the Tabs for Everything bundle to create this gorgeous tab to create interest on the top of one of my cards.
This bundle and punch is great for both the new planner as well as memory keeping!
I have already used this bundle a tonne!

I also wasn't afraid to get out my black marker and just hand write my journalling. Usually I am pretty afraid and ashamed of my hand writing but I am a big advocate for it being an important part of the memory keeping process!

I decided to focus on just one picture on the right hand side and chose a simple neutral colour to highlight it. I LOVE Crumb Cake, it's one of my favourite colours.
I have used the gorgeous plain striped badge from the Badges & Banners stamp set and punch to help create a cluster in the bottom right corner.

I'm happy with how this turned out and decided to go all inspired by Dena Rekow and use some ink splatters to add some extra interest to the page.

I hope you enjoyed seeing how this page came together and I can't wait to share more with you. If you are local to me, keep your eye out as I will be doing memory keeping classes very soon!

Also don't forget...
