Stampin' Sneak Peek ~ Display Stamper Samples

Hi guys and welcome to the Stampin' Sneak Peek blog hop.
I am so excited to take part in this hop with quite a few of the other Stampin' Up! Artisan team members showing off what we made for display stamping of the latest Onstage conference.
I attended in Sydney and was so lucky to receive a gorgeous box of goodies to work with, all brand new products from the amazing new catalogue.

The idea was to create 15-20 samples using a mixture of the products, in a mixture of mediums including a name plaque and then everyone that attends the conference can see different ways that the new products can be used. Fun idea right?
It was a lot of fun!

So here is what I made....starting off with my name banner I made using the colours, cardstock and stamps...

Now onto my projects....

To start off I was really inspired to get my memory keeper hat on and get a page done using some photos that I took of myself with my Aunty's pony Noonie who has been around since I was a baby! I used a pocket page and cut down some cardstock, Designer Series Paper and even embossed some white with a new embossing folder and got to work!
My favourite thing to do is cluster embellishments, so I kept the page relatively simple with small embellishment clusters.

Next I went back to my roots as a scrapbooker and found this picture of my son that was just dying to be scrapbooked! Don't mind the slightly crinkled background, I should have photographed this before taking three plane trips with it! Agh!
The slightly crinkled look tends to theme well for a boy page though I think. Haha!
Once again I kept the layout pretty simple, with small embellishment clusters. I love the realistic look of the trees and leaves stamped. A little bit in love with this stamp set now!

The challenge of creating card fronts was hard. Most of them are just fronts which didn't feel natural to me so I can't wait to stick them on card bases now that I am home. I loved using a mixture of embellishments, patterns and textures. I love there being a lot to see and feel on my work, that's the part I love most about crafting!
I also dug out the Wood Textures DSP since that is actually staying on in the new catalogue! yay!

After using a lot of Crumb Cake on the previous cards I decided to get my Whisper White card out and have a go with that. I love the stark contrast. As per usual I gave my Stitched Shapes Framelits a good go as well. It always adds that great little bit of texture and colour to a card to make it look finished. I fell in love with the new Tranquil Tide Ruffled Ribbon also. It's so textured and pretty!

I even gave the Brusho's and Textured Embossing Paste a play and love the backgrounds you can create with it. Add a few simple embellishments and you can call it done. Love it!
I have also created a slider 'reveal' card which I thought would be a bit of interactive fun for the receiver to reveal a hidden message. You can see a close up below.

I was on a roll with the interactive and fun fold cards so I made another panel pop out card to really show off the gorgeous Designer Series Paper and the fun looks it can give a card. I also used the beautiful Subtle Textured Embossing Folder as the panel on the front of the card.
This embossing folder is so gorgeous that it is going to be a new staple for me at my craft desk!
You can see the inside close up of the card below.

I made yet another interactive card, inspiring by the lovely Dawn Griffiths and her three tier slider card tutorial on YouTube here.
I love interactive cards and the fun that the receiver will have 'opening' them.
This stamp set has some absolutely beautiful sentiments that work well with this kind of interactive card. I love the big stamped tree which I have stamped in 'Old Olive'. It works really well with the Mint Macaron which I am so happy is coming back to the Stampin' Up! colour family!
You can see a close up of the slider part of the card below.

Next up I went to town using the beautiful 'Sea of Textures' stamp set and combined in with the five new In Colours; Grapefruit Grove, Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch. I thought it would be a fun way to show off these new colours.
I have used one of the Mini Pizza Boxes and coloured it with the Lovely Lipstick ink pad using a sponge dauber to change up the look a little bit.
This stamp set actually has coordinating dies, but I didn't receive those but went to fussy cutting heaven! I don't mind a bit of fussy cutting, I find it very relaxing especially while watching television or some crafty YouTube!
You can see a close up of the cards below.

Here's a look at the fun pizza box, which I used the Bermuda Bay striped ribbon which is new to this annual catalogue and added some texture and finished with a touch of Gold Glimmer and some Basic Rhinestones.

Here's a look at the finished pizza boxes and the mini 3x3 notecards I made with matching envelopes for the inside. This would be the perfect little gift for someone or if you are a demonstrator would make a great customer gift or host reward for a workshop!
You can see a close up of the finished notecards below.
Doesn't the octopus look great stamped in bright colours?

I hope you enjoyed this look at the projects that I made as a display stamper for the April Onstage event. These events are so much fun and it so great to see the products up close and even get to play with them! If you are a demonstrator or thinking of becoming one I would totally urge you to attend the next event. In Australia our next events are on November 10th this year in both Brisbane and Melbourne. I would love to see you there!
