Colour Your Season ~ Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Hello everyone and thank you for visiting my blog today.
You are visiting Kayla MacAulay's blog from Tasmania, Australia.
Today the Artisan Design Team are featuring the brand new Colour Your Season promotion which is exclusive to pre-order for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators now!
It will be available to customers from August 1st and will be a limited time promotion through August while supplies last.

I hope you enjoy seeing what I have created with these gorgeous limited edition products today, given the theme of 'spring'. I just love Spring, it's one of my favourite seasons because of the gorgeous colours and flowers!

This bundle of products is great wherever you are in the world as it features something for every season, no matter what time of year it is wherever you are!
Coordinate the beautiful stamps with the stunning dies and you will be able to create many masterpieces.

I have also featured a few different watercoloring techniques on my cards using the brand new colours of Watercolour Pencils that come as part of this promotion. These pencils work so well with these products as the images within the stamp set are beautiful to colour! They are a great addition to our already fantastic range of colours in our Watercolour Pencils collection.

Here's a look at the set of three cards I made all featuring a different watercoloring technique.
From left to right:
You're the Friend Everyone Wishes They Had:
For this card scribbled the watercolour pencils onto the Stampin' Up! Grid Paper and used them as watercolours, picking them up with an Aqua Painter to go over the top of the white embossed flower image from the Blended Seasons Stamp set. I love using the pencils as a watercolour palette.
Thank You:
For this card I used the pencils to colour in the flower image. I used a mixture of Coastal Cabana, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green Watercolour Pencils. I then went over the top with a lightly wet Aqua Painter.
Wishing You All The Best:
For this card I started by heat embossing the leaf image from the Blended Seasons Stamp Set with the brand new Black Embossing Powder and then lightly coloured over the top with a mix of Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green Watercolour Pencils and then lightly washed over the top with an Aqua Painter. I also coloured the leaves with a mixture of Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green Watercolour pencils.

This bundle would be great to run a watercolour technique class with for customers as you could focus on a different season for each different card and a different watercoloring technique for each to show off the versatility of our Watercolour Pencils. You don't have to be limited by the new colours but instead you could mix and match these pencils with the existing Watercolour Pencils available in the current Annual Catalogue.
It's great for beginner and advanced crafters alike as you could adjust the watercoloring techniques to suit the level of crafter you are working with. There are so many possibilities with this bundle!

Here's a look at my personal favourite of the cards that I made. I am a sucker for Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green and I love the deep colours in the watercolored flowers on this one.

I combined it with some Silver Glimmer Paper, Coastal Cabana Glitter Enamel Dots, Linen Thread and Burlap Ribbon.

I also just LOVE the dies that come as part of this bundle to create those gorgeous big labels that add stitching to both the positive and negative images. It's a great two for one in an amazing die set!

This card once again features those gorgeous label dies and features the black embossed watercolour wash background. This time I accented with Gold Glimmer Paper, some Metallic Pearls and some gorgeous Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon.

I love the mixture of colours and how easy it is to create a beautifully blended background using these pencils.

This next card features a white embossed flower and then I created a watercolour wash over the top using a mixture of Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green. I accented with the beautiful Tea Room Copper Vinyl Stickers and some beautiful Metallic Sequins. I kept it simple and really focused on the watercoloring.

Here's a look at the promotional flyer for this great limited edition promotion.
It's a great time to add this to your cart and have it delivered in time to plan some fantastic August events with your customers.
It's also a great time to promote it to customers as a possibility to add to a starter kit and combine with the fabulous Stampin' Pad Family Recruiting Promotion.
