Country Lane ~ October Artisan Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another Artisan Design Team Blog hop, you are visiting Kayla MacAulay's Blog from Tasmania, Australia.

This month we are hopping and sharing projects from the gorgeous Country Harvest suite of products and we all had so much fun using them.

I hope you find some inspiration on this blog hop to use these gorgeous products.

Here's a look at the collection of three handmade cards that I made using the products.
I was really inspired by the gorgeous Tin Tile Textured Impressions Dynamic Embossing Folder. I started with the Champagne, Silver and Copper Foil Sheets and embossed each of them with the folder and then treated them all a little different.
From the far left.
On the Champagne Foil - I brushed Copper Shimmer Paint over the top with a sponge for a copper distressed look.
On the Silver Foil - I added Staz On Black Ink with a sponge with distress it.
On the Copper Foil - I took some sanding paper and sanded lightly over the top to add some distressing.

I really like the different effect on each and how they are all similar but a little different.
This embossing folder is a must have in your collection as it's just so different and has a beautiful effect!

This first card using the Copper Shimmer Paint is one of my favourites.
I am a little bit obsessed with that Shimmer Paint, there are just so many things you can do with it.
I have stamped the little pot with flowers on Thick Whisper White Cardstock and coloured with Stampin' Blends. I also used the Take Your Pick Tool with the Stylus end to dip in the Copper Shimmer Paint to add the paint to the little berries throughout the flowers to tie in with the background.

I embellished with a variety of different embellishments from the suite and also added the Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon and some of those gorgeous Glitter Enamel Dots.
I added some Copper Glimmer Paper Sprigs punched with out new Sprig Punch also from the Joyous Noel suite.

I loved sanding the foil paper because it reveals the white core to this foil paper and it's such a fun thing to do. I have actually coloured some of the enamel shapes from the Santa's Workshop Enamel Shapes with Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends on this card to really tie in with some of the coloured flowers on this one.

I fussy cut around my sentiment to for a bit of different look and added some more sprigs, this time punched in the emerald coloured Glimmer Paper.

This last card has the distressing added by brushing over with Black Staz On ink. I used the Staz on as I really wanted an ink that would adhere and dry well on the non porous foil and this worked well.

As you can see I have also got some plaid in the background which I used on all three cards and is our lovely Burlap Check Background Stamp, stamped in Memento Black and then sponged over the top with Coastal Cabana. I cut this down and used it on all my cards.

I further embellished with more sprigs, some coloured Santa's Workshop Enamel Shapes and some of the Braided Linen Trim and Galvanised Clips.

I decorated the inside of all the cards, by adding a further sentiment to each and some stamped flower arrangements which I stamped in Blackberry Bliss and coloured in with Wink Of Stella to drag the colour throughout and add some shimmer and shine.

I also decided I wanted to create and decorate this fun Baker's Box.
I used some of the Country Lane Designer Series Paper, to create a fun belly band around the box and added some left over pieces from creating the cards.

This would be fun to add a small gift to or maybe some hand baked goods as a bit of a thank you.

I hope you enjoyed popping by my blog today.

I totally enjoyed your projects and have been inspired a bunch by looking and reading through your post!!! I am so impressed with your foil backgrounds and how you added the blueish plaid to each. The combo is so unexpected and is a perfect juxtaposition of elements--truly artistic. Thanks for being so awesome. Smiles, Elizabeth
