Sailing Home ~ Lighthouse Card

Welcome back to key blog. Today I have a card to share with you which I really fell in love with.
The Sailing Home bundle caught my eye when I first saw it released as it was just so perfect for masculine and gender neutral cards.

I went to town with the whole suite here and created a friendship card. I was really inspired by the coordinating Sailing Home Memories & More Card pack where I pulled this gorgeous 4x6 laser cut card to create the design focus for my card front.

I loved the combination of colours and fun textures I was able to utilise from various components of the suite...

Here you can see the finished card.
I just love how the green and blue blend together (and we all know that is my favourite colour combination)

I used the Stitched Shapes to create a black circle to 'ground' my lighthouse and focal point which I edged with some Silver Glimmer Paper cut with the Layering Circle dies.
This created a 'base' for me to layer all my main elements on.

I have embellished with several coordinating profits including the Sahara Sand/Night of Navy Thick Baker's Twine and the gorgeous Sail Away Trinkets (with that gorgeous ships wheel).

I have added some die cuts from the coordinating Sailing Home Dies cut in both cardstock and vellum.

The sentiment 'Hello Friend' comes from a sticker from the coordinating Sailing Home Memories & More pack.

I have layered and stamped the inside for a finished look and decided not to add a sentiment, but rather stamp some birds and an anchor.

I can't wait to create more with this suite!

Follow Your Art ~ You Make Everything Sparkle

Hello and welcome back to my little old blog.
Thanks for popping by today.

I wanted to share with you a super fun and bright card I made inspired by a card I saw in the catalogue featuring the sequin stamp from the Follow Your Art Stamp set.
I was really inspired to make an 'arty' card with a cascade of sequins flowing over it.

I had a lot of fun stamping all those sequins and then colouring them with my Stampin' Blends in Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Calypso Coral.

Here you can see the finished card.
I have pulled in some of the fun Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper as a layer to tie it all together, and pulled apart the embellishment kit you can purchase as part of the Follow Your Art suite.
The embellishment kit has these super fun paperclips, felt embellishments and fun twine which I have used on the card.

I have also used some other fun products including the gorgeous Follow Your Art Washi Tape and the Follow You Art Dies to create that fun 'button' with stitched edging.

As per usual, I decorated the inside of the card with a fun sentiment and some more fun sequins.

I hope you liked seeing my card today made with this fun suite.

Bird Ballad ~ Laser Cut Notecards

Hello there lovely and welcome to my blog, thanks for stopping by.

Today I wanted to share with you some lovely notecards I made using the gorgeous Bird Ballad suite of products.

I actually made these ones a while ago and have had them sitting here to share with you all. I have been a slack blogger and need to get better at scheduling my posts!

I actually ordered these products when I attended the Onstage event in New Zealand back in April and these were one of the first things that I created when I received my gorgeous PPP box.

The gorgeous designs in the paper and that gorgeous bird stamp had my heart fluttering!

Here's the set of three cards I made, each with the laser cut notecards (that come in the cutest tin!) and each featuring a gorgeous Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

I love that when Stampin' Up! design their papers they usually have a busier side and a more subtle side to each, it really gives you a lot of possibilities with the paper!

I had a lot of fun colouring these gorgeous birds with a mixture of my Stampin' Blends and making each bird slightly unique in it's own way.

You can see all the products I have used to make these cards linked below.

This is probably my favourite of the three cards as I just love that gorgeous yellow DSP.
I have accented each card with some of the beautiful Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim and finished it with a gorgeous Bird Ballad Trinket. I have used so many of those trinkets that I had to order three packets!

Another feature of the Bird Ballad suite that I just love is those super versatile and fun Stitched Nested Labels dies. Those dies are so versatile for so many cards from any suite and any stamp set! They are a must have in every craft stash!

This is one of the more busy patterns, but I just loved these fun birds in the background combined with the sweet pink polka dot patterned paper.

I have only used the tiniest amount of Tombow Glue on the back of the lace cards to adhere the designer paper.

You can see in the photo below, I have also adhered cardstock to the back of the back, otherwise you would see the reverse design upon opening the card.

I couldn't not stamp the inside of the card, so I used one of the sentiments from the Bird Ballad Stamp set to finish these notecards off.

I hope you liked seeing my set of cards using this suite today.

Don't forget to see all the products I have used linked below, which you can purchase in my store.
