Christmas Countdown ~ Advent Calendar

I love the Holiday Catalogue and do you want to know one of the reasons I love it?
I love to see what new project kits Stampin' Up! have brought out for us because they are always so great and there's something about making fun handmade gifts and décor around the festive season that is just so much fun.

This year Stampin' Up! treated us to something really special and that is the release of this super fantastic Countdown Advent Calendar project kit!

I just fell in love with it ad here I have made a Christmas themed calendar but there are so many things that you could use it for!
Here's a few ideas:
  • Countdown to your birthday
  • Countdown to an anniversary
  • Halloween countdown
  • A daily self care calendar with a little activity in each day
  • Countdown to Easter
  • Countdown to any big activity
    OR
  • You could even use it to store all those cute little embellishments!

As you can see there are lots of different ideas and the creativity is yours to take wherever you wish! In the kit you will get the advent box and all the supplies to put together the Christmas themed box (and you can buy the Countdown Christmas stamp set separately) but you could then decorate the sides and back of the box (being careful with how much dimension you add) and get multiple uses out of just one kit!

If you are like me and think this is just the coolest thing ever, then be quick and grab one from my online store (linked below) before they become so popular and sell out!

I would love to see what you make with it.
If you live local to me, I will be running this kit as a class in Devonport, Tasmania. Stay tuned to my Facebook page for dates.

Happy crafting. xx

Jolly Season ~ Tis' the Season Card

Hello and happy Sunday! I hope that you are well wherever you are!
Today I am posting a fun card that I crated about a week ago using a fun sample from the Holiday catalogue as inspiration.

When I am feeling stuck for inspiration or ideas, I simply refer back to the catalogue and go from there! This one I was really drawn to because of the use of that fun brick embossing folder in the background which I have distressed with Whisper White craft ink!
How fun is some simple embossing and it really gives this minimalistic card something else!

I hope you enjoy my post today. Be sure to refer to the bottom of this post for links to all the products I have used in my store.

Here's a look at the finished card. I just love the fun effect that the embossing gives combined with that fun 'Night Before Christmas' 6x6 Designer Series Paper, one of which was cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies,
I stamped and cut my Santa from the Jolly Season bundle and this has been coloured with various colours of the Stampin' Blends which you can see linked below.

Here's a close up of some of the details, where you can see the shading on the Santa which I have achieved by using Stampin' Blends. I also used some of the gorgeous ribbon that coordinates with this suite.

To finish off I have added some Designer Series paper to the inside and one simple sentiment, stamped in Real Red to draw some interest and flow to the inside of the card.

I hope you liked this little crafty share today and were inspired to get Christmas crafting!

Crafty hugs! xx

Most Wonderful Time Product Medley ~ Christmas Card + Video

Hello lovely blog readers and welcome back to my blog.
Twice in one week...I know! I have been on a crafty storm and I really wanted to share this wonderful new product medley with you all!

I love that Stampin' Up! have released a brand-new product medley for the Holiday catalogue. Why? Because you get everything you need to create in one easy to order bundle and it all coordinates! It takes the stress and pressure of finding coordinating products out of it - and makes crafting easy and simple!
Product coordination is one of the things I love most about Stampin' Up!

See below for a link to all the products I have used and to the video where you can watch me make this card, and see how I put it together.

Here's a look at the finished two cards. I replicated the original exactly the same just to show you how easy it is to create.

I used everything from the medley on this one card and just love how it all works together.
The only thing I have really pulled in that was not part of the medley is the gorgeous Scalloped Black Trim which is actually from a Halloween suite but is very versatile!

I am just loving the tinsel trim for adding fun accents to the cards and it's so lightweight so doesn't add bulk, just a heap of sparkle and fun!

I did do a Facebook Live showing how I made this card, and you can watch it above as I have uploaded it to my YouTube channel.

Here's a close up of the finished card, where you can really see that tinsel trim sparkle and shine.
I did stamp and die cut the background trees in both Old Olive and Mossy Meadow but stamped off to create a variants in the colours just to mix it up.

You get lots of stickers as part of the medley and as you can see in the video, I just used my Embossing Buddy to remove the 'sticky' to make them easier to move around and also create a bit of dimension.

Here you can see the finished inside of my card where I have just added a couple of layers, a sentiment and an accent stamp - keeping it very simple!

I will have a class (available online also) coming up with this medley - stay tuned.

You can see the entire medley and it's contents if you click in the product list below, but here's a picture!

Happy crafting! xx
