You Paint My World With Happiness ~ Floating Frame Cards

Hello and welcome back to my blog.
Today I am sharing some brand new cards I made featuring the floating frame technique and using Press N' Seal.
This is a technique that was inspired by the lovely Jennifer McGuire and the lovely and so awesome Stampin' Up! Artisan Team member Emma Goddard!

I was really inspired to try this technique after I got back from the New Zealand Stampin' Up! Onstage conference as I had the gorgeous brand new For The Love of Art suite of products and it just so appeals to the crafty minded.

Whilst I was in New Zealand, I also stocked up on Press N' Seal, as it is not something you can easily buy here in Australia and New Zealand stocks it in their supermarkets. They must have thought something was going on as all the supermarkets around Auckland sold out of Press N' Seal with the Aussies swarming in and buying it all while they were there! Haha!

You can see my set of two cards below...

This is really a two for one technique, as you get the frame for one card and you can use the insert cut out of the frame for another. Two for one!

I stuck to three colours primarily for my colour combo. I thought this would make the card flow a little more easily.

Here you can see a close up of my first card.
I love the coordinating dies that go with this set, as they give you some gorgeous embellishments to use like these sequins and the embossed buttons.
The sequins look great cut out of our fabulous foiled cardstock.

To make embellishing easy, I used the embellishment kit that coordinates with this suite of products and that comes with the Pacific Point twine, the felt embellishments and paper clips that I have used here.

This is the second card, using the inset from the rectangle stitched framelits, and makes for another great card. I have heat embossed one sentiment to get some of the sentiment and then stamped with Calypso Coral onto Blushing Bride cardstock for the other part of the sentiment.

The thing I loved most about creating these cards is the Stampin' Blends colouring. I have been finding colouring just so therapeutic lately, especially before and after I go to work and this is the perfect kind of card to feature lots of colouring!

Better still? I didn't have to fussy cut any of these images, as they all came with coordinating dies!

I couldn't finish these cards without adding a coordinating insert. I have used some of the fabulous Washi Tape that you can also order to match the suite, and other sentiment from the stamp set.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these cards today using some brand new products.
