Perfectly Plaid + Curvy Keepsake ~ Quick & Easy Christmas Gifts

Hello and welcome back to my blog and thanks so much for visiting!
Today I have something special to share with you...some last minute Christmas cards and quick and easy Christmas gifts!

I saw a card and was totally inspired to make this one CASE'd (inspired) off a design from the lovely Krista Frattin and that inspired these projects which will be going to the lovely people I work with in my non Stampin’ Up! job.

I only wanted to create a small little token gift because we all know that Christmas can get so big and if we commit to buying big presents for everybody I think I would need to take out a bank loan!
We all know it is the thought that counts...

So that is where the idea for these was born!

Each work mate is getting a handmade card created with a variety of the Perfectly Plaid bundle and those gorgeous A Wish for Everything bundle.

I added some fun bold colours like Real Red and Shaded Spruce and that super fun Shimmer Paper and a touch of watercolour and it was totally up my alley!

It wouldn't be a Kayla card without some Linen Thread and some glimmer and pearls so of course I added a sprinkling of Wink of Stella.

By the way...this Perfectly Plaid stamp set and Pine Tree Punch are carrying over and will not be leaving us...yippee!

Here's a close up of the little box that I made using the Curvy Keepsake Dies and the coordinating stamp set.
I have stamped two sides of the Crumb Cake box in the buffalo check stamp with Real Red ink.
I added some leaves cut from the Curvy Keepsake Dies cut in Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce and a tag in crumb cake stamped with Shaded Spruce ink.

To embellish I added a Jingle Bell and some Linen Thread.

Here's a close up of the finished card where you can see some of the detail. I found it easiest to wet my Shimmer Cardstock with an Aqua Painter first and then add some Shaded Spruce Ink (I find it easiest to drop some re-inker into the lid of the Ink Pad) and then add it on. While there is still ink of the brush, I use this to flick and splatter a little over the background!

You can see I have also added some Metallic Pearls in good to further accent the gold on the card.

I had to make a decorated insert of course, so added some of the stamps from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and called it done.

I really hope that my work mates will like this.

P.s. Especially the Ferrero Rochers inside those cute little boxes.
