Grace's Garden & Power of Hope ~ Interactive Friendship Card ~ International Demo Training Blog Hop

Hello and welcome back to my little bloggy.
Today I have something special to share with you...an interactive card made with the gorgeous Grace's Garden Bundle from the new Mini Catalogue.

This bundle is so gorgeous & did you know is one of the most popular choices from the new catalogue?
I have combined this with the GORGEOUS geisha from the Power of Hope Stamp Set which is a Sale-a-Bration freebie that you can claim FREE with a $90 order in my store.

See the bottom of the blog post for links to all the gorgeous blogs that took part, and links to all the products, which are all available in my store.

Here's a look at the finished card.
I won't lie, this card took me ages! But it was just so worth it.
I actually spent a good day stamping and colouring images from lots of the stamp sets.
What does this mean? I can open up these fun stamp sets and already have lots of gorgeous bits and pieces to play with.

I just had to make one of the interactive cards featuring that gorgeous opening and closing gate.
It's actually very simple to make. although it may not appear so. The dies that Stampin’ Up! provide make it so easy!

Here you can see how this gorgeous bundle makes it so easy, with some fun dies and coordinating stamps.
Don't want the trouble of making an interactive card? That's totally fine! There are some fun fencing stamp sets, where you can make a fun flat lay!

Look how adorable the sentiments are too!
I just love the one I chose to use on this card "Of all the blossoms in life's garden, friendship is the most fragrant". Isn't that just adorable?

I am also blessed to be part of an amazing training group run by the ever so fabulous Kylie Bertucci!
I was thrilled to take part in this month's blog hop and you can check out all the other amazing blogs here:

Here's a close up of the finished card where you can also see the fun Geisha from the Power of Hope stamp set. This is actually possibly my favourite Sale-a-Bration freebie!
My favourite movie of all time is actually Memoirs of a Geisha...so this was right up my alley!

I have chosen to stamp the Geisha on both Thick Whisper White Cardstock and the Lily Impressions DSP. I have then coloured the Geisha on Whisper White with some Pool Party and Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends and some Petal Pink Light for her skin and Basic Black for her hair.
I have then fussy cut the Geisha stamped on the Lily Impressions DSP so that I just had her dress. I have then paper pieced these together. How fun does that DSP look as a kimono?

Here's another fun close up where you can really see that fun sentiment and the gate mechanism.
When cutting the gate, it won't open, you simply have to take some Paper Snips and trim up the middle in a straight line.
Simple and so much fun!

I have used a huge mixture of Stampin' Blends to colour all the different elements on my card, but you can see them all linked below. I LOVE my Stampin' Blends and couldn't be without them!

To achieve the textured background to my card I have used the Bricks & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder on Sahara Sand and lightly inked in the Whisper White Ink to pick up on some of that texture.

Of course I just had to decorate the inside.
I chose not to do much, since you can actually see through to the middle of the card with the gate open.
I have simply added some sponging with my Oval Makeup Brushes in the gorgeous Coastal Cabana. My go to colour and as Dena Rekow says...the colour that lets us know that God loves us. HAHA!

I hope that you really enjoyed this post today, and got lots of inspiration.
Be sure to check out all the other blogs.
