Country Club ~ Masculine Golf Birthday Card

Hello lovely crafty peeps and thanks for popping in today.

Today I have something exciting to share with you...a MASCULINE card.
I know!!! I don't make them too often which is rather funny as I am actually the only female that makes up my household. Yep I am surrounded by men!
Having said that, I grew up as one of three girls, so boys....they just aren't my forte!

I was actually really pleased and happy when I saw this County Club Suite come out in the last catalogue release as my hubby and my father in law are actually avid golfers...well they enjoy hitting a ball or two, so I have something to create for them for their upcoming birthdays/events.

Stampin' Up! must be reading my mind and know what I am after...hubby and father in law are golfers and my Dad is an avid fly fisherman so I was happy when the Best Catch bundle was released in the previous Mini Catalogue.
I will keep on my train of thought that they must just know! *wink*

I hope you enjoy today's masculine card post and get some inspiration to get those male cards created!
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post where you can see links to all the products I have used to create this card, all of which are available to purchase in my store here.

Here's a look at the finished card where you can see that I have really featured some of the beautiful Country Club Designer Series Paper.
This paper really does make a statement and is just so gorgeous. I love these argyle prints and they really do remind me of golfing t-shirts.

I also brought in one of the awesome and super versatile Stitched Nested Labels which I have die cut in Garden Green to look a bit like a golfing green and to really help ground my focal image and embellishments.

I have then stamped the golfer on some Whisper White Thick Cardstock and coloured him in with a mixture of; Light Petal Pink, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.
I actually found him very easy to colour as Stampin' Up! has added a lot of detail to this stamp which clear lines where the darker shading should be. This makes it really easy when colouring!

Here's a close up of the finished card where you can see all the embellishments and accents that I have added.

I really wanted to include some texture so I have added the beautiful Braided Burlap Trim and over that I have added some Country Club Twine in Night of Navy.
To add texture to both of these trims, I have slightly pulled them apart to distress them a little and adhered down with Glue Dots.

To further embellish I have added some of the awesome Country Club Elements which add some really fun wooden texture to the card and a must have when buying this suite!

To finish I have added a fun sentiment on a strip of cardstock, stamped in Night of Navy Ink.

Here's a look at the coordinating inside that I have stamped and coloured.
There is a really fun golf ball stamp which also looks really fun coloured.

I have finished it off with another really fun and quirky sentiment.

I hope you got some inspiration today, and know someone in your life that you could create these fun golfy cards for!

Big crafty hugs! xx
