Pleased as Punch DSP & Tulip Builder Punch ~ Mother's Day Card

Hello and welcome back to my blog.
HAPPY FRIDAY! Yay for the weekend. I hope that you have some fun crafty plans.

Today I wanted to share a card with that was really inspired by the lovely Emma Goddard.
She shared a beautiful card she made using some of the stamped tulips from the Timeless Tulips Bundle and when I saw this beautiful Pleased as Punch Paper released as part of the Sale-a-Bration coordination sale come out, I just knew that I had to give it a whirl.

I was really inspired to give a Mother's Day card a go, since that is actually coming up really soon. I am not sure about everyone else, but Mother's Day is on the first Sunday in May here in Australia.
May is a busy month in my family, with my Mum's birthday, my Dad's birthday and Mother's Day all being in the same week!
Busy central! Especially for a card maker!

This gorgeous Pleased as Punch paper makes it SUPER EASY! As all the images are there, and they all coordinate with our punches that we offer.
How fun is that?

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of today's post where you can see all the supplies listed that I have used to create today's card.

Here's a look at the finished card where you can see all those gorgeous tulips and how gorgeous they look in a fun bunch!

To achieve this card I have followed these basic steps:
  • Cut a card base from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock to a top folding card.
  • Cut a layer of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 9.9cm x 14.3cm. Set aside.
  • Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Set aside.
  • With the smaller layer of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp five tulip stems using the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green.
  • Take a piece of the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper and using the Tulip Builder Punch, punch a whole bunch of tulips and leaves. Arrange these randomly as shown with a combination of liquid glue and Stampin' Dimensionals for extra dimension and texture. Add some of the leaves into the bunch randomly, using Glue Dots. When you have assembled all of these, stick down the white piece to the larger layer of Whisper White. Adhere this to the Gorgeous Grape card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Splatter some Wink of Stella over the card front for some extra shimmer and shine.
  • Take a scrap of Basic Black cardstock and stamp the sentiment "What a beautiful difference a single life makes" in Versamark and heat emboss in white. Cut this sentiment into small strips and adhere to the card front as shown.
  • Tie a beautiful double layered bow from the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and adhere this to the card front where shown with Glue Dots.
  • Punch or fussy cut one of the gorgeous flowers from the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper and adhere this to the centre of the bow with a Glue Dot.
  • Lastly add some Glitter Enamel Dots in a mixture of Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green over the card and to the flower centre.
  • Decorate the inside layers of the card if you wish to. I have used another sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set and one of the punched tulips. I have also added some Wink of Stella for sparkle!
  • Enjoy!

Here's a close up look at the finished card with all the texture, dimension and detail. You can see how gorgeous that Wink of Stella looks - and trust me it's very glittery and beautiful in person!

This gorgeous ribbon adds stunning texture and is so easy to tie bows with, as it's a beautiful weight and texture.

Here's a look at the completed inside layer of the card, which I kept pretty simple, just adding a basic Mother's Day sentiment and one of the punched tulips with some Wink of Stella of course! Haha!

I hope you enjoyed and got some inspiration from today's post.
