Breathtaking Bouquet ~ Happy Birthday Card

Guess what? I am finally on holidays!! CRAFTY TIME!

Today I have something fun to share with you and I hope you love it as much as I do.
I have used one of my absolute top picks from the Mini Catalogue and that is the Breathtaking Bouquet Background stamp.
This one is retiring, and has not sold out yet so BE QUICK!!

Here's a look at the finished card where you can see just how much COLOUR is in this card.
It is just so bright and happy and that is something that this fun background stamp is just so perfect for!
In times like these when a lot of us are stuck inside, this is the perfect therapeutic stamp to just colour your life away!

I have used a basic card design that I saw featured in the back of the Mini Catalogue and it really did inspire this whole card.

I have used such a huge mix of colours to colour in this stamp which I have heat embossed in Black on Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper.
My biggest tip for doing this is to stamp using the Stamparatus, as when using Fluid 100 Watercolour paper which is quite thick and textured, you may need to stamp it multiple times.

I have then used my Aqua Painters and a mixture of; Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick, Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody Inks to colour my whole background in.
Tip when water colouring: Add little bits at a time and go back in and add more colour bit by bit. You can always add more, but you can't take it away!

Here's a look at the finished card close up where you can see some of the texture and detail.
I have added one of the beautiful 'happy' words die cut from the Well Written dies and a 'birthday' sentiment stamped from the Label Me Bold stamp set (heads up this one is retiring soon!! Get it now!).

I have then added this on a simple strip of Basic Black cardstock which I have edged with some Gold Glimmer punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border punch.
This punch makes the cutest scalloped edges and this beautiful punch is also retiring --- this is a crafty must have!!! Trust me - you will be as addicted to those scalloped borders as I am once you get started!

Lastly I have embellished with some flowers die cut from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock with the In The Tropics Dies and have accented these with the From My Heart Faceted Gems.

I have then spritzed it with the Clear Wink of Stella pen to make it sparkly.

I hope you enjoyed a little look at a fun birthday card with some fun water colouring and got some inspiration to go and colour.

Follow Your Art ~ Picnic/Goodie Basket

Hello crafty peeps.

Today I have something a bit different to share with you...an ultimate gift/goodie bag for the crafter!

This was inspired after I saw a sample similar in the catalogue and just wanted to give it a go and change it up, making it my own.
I have used a tonne of retiring product in today's post also, so be sure to scroll to the bottom to see links to all the product I have used, as some of it is heavily discounted in my store.

All this basket consists of is getting one of the gorgeous Mini Shipping Boxes, those things are seriously gorgeous and I am so glad that they are staying around!
I have cut a piece of Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper and cut it just to fit the edges of the box. I think I had to add a little bit more than the 12", so I just added my 'filler' piece towards the back. I have just used some Liquid Multipurpose Glue to adhere it down.

Then you just take some ribbon/trim of your choice. In this case I have used the Braided Burlap Ribbon and some Metallic Brads to make the handle. I just used my Take Your Pick Tool to 'poke' the holes through.

The fun part was filling it up!!!
I want to use this for a special something/someone so I have filled it with some gorgeous products!
I have something fun coming up soon in my business, so do stay tuned.
Make sure you subscribe to my newsletter to get all the updates.

I have then used the So Sentimental Bundle (this is staying...YAY!) to make this adorable tag for my little gift box. I have just simply sponged some Calypso Coral Ink on there and added some Glitter Enamel Dots and some embellies from the Follow Your Art Embellishment Kit.

I just love it embossed in black and I have to say I am going to miss black embossing powder so much! Make sure if you love something that is retiring, to get it now!!!

I have then lastly added some ribbon to the top of my gift bag and used the included Pacific Point Thread included in the kit and the Gray Granite Textured Weave Ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed a look at today's project share, which was a little something different and out of the usual share from me!
I thought I should change it up a bit.

I'd love to hear from you.
What do you want to see more of from me?
Please do comment.

Forever Blossoms ~ Just For You Card

Hello lovely crafters!
Welcome to another blog post by me using a set that I am just in love with....Forever Blossoms.

I am a huge fan of cherry blossoms. They have always been a favourite of mine.

I was really inspired by a card that I saw in the catalogue and also the lovely Emma Goddard and her beautiful watercolour stripes that she does with an Aqua Painter.

Here's a picture of my finished card.
I have used a colour combination that I haven't used before and I have to admit that Gray Granite is not one of my 'go to' colours, but I am loving it more and more.
It's quite a warm grey!

I have used some Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper...one of my go to's!
I have then simply watercolored some stripes with my Aqua Painter.
Stay tuned on the Aqua Painters...we might have something exciting coming *wink*

Here's a picture of prove to you how much I love cherry blossoms.
This is a tree that I planted in my parents garden approximately 15 years ago (maybe a bit more) and my darling Burmese cats Bailey and Java that passed away are laid at peace under this tree.
It really is beautiful!

Here's a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the texture and detail.
I have chosen to colour my blossoms with a mixture of Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Stampin' Blends.
I usually reach for the pinks when I am colouring flowers, but this just matched so well with the Gray Granite!

I have also added some Polka Dot Whisper White Tulle and YAY this fabulous ribbon is going to be in the next Annual Catalogue!

The sentiment for this card is heat embossed in black on some Crumb Cake cardstock with a sentiment taken from the Rare Blessings stamp set.
This really is such a gorgeous stamp set and is retiring...so if it catches you eye, be sure to get it now before it sells out!

Also...I have coloured some Rhinestones in black with the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blend.
You can make rhinestones any colour you like with the Stampin' Blends. I love it!

Here's a look at the inside of my card which I have stamped some of the beautiful blossoms and leaves and coloured to match the card front, and added a sentiment from the Rare Blessings Stamp Set stamped in Gray Granite to carry that colour through.

Don't forget to check out the amazing specials at the moment in my store with all the products that are retiring listed in the Last Chance Sale...some are on sale for up to 60% off. Don't miss out!

Check out bargains like this....
