Forever Blossoms ~ Baker's Box

Hello there and happy Saturday lovelies!
Today I am popping by to share something a little bit different with you all!
I was inspired to create a decorated Baker's Box after I saw one in the Annual Catalogue.
I was flicking through the catalogue the other day, as when I am stuck for ideas - that is the first place that I like to go!

I wanted something to special to pop some chocolates in for one of my dear work friends that turned 60! When I saw these Bakers Boxes, I thought they were perfect!

So I pulled out some supplies and got started.
I have used quite a mix of supplies including a sentiment from the So Sentimental Stamp set, the Forever Blossoms Bundle for the flowers and foliage, the Gilded Gems from the Ornate Garden suite, and the Designer Series Paper from the Follow Your Art suite.
You absolutely don't have to stick to one bundle or one suite. I have really mixed it up!
Be sure to scroll to the bottom to see a full list of products that I have used, all of which are available in my store here.

Here's a look at the completed box where you can see it all together.
The cool thing about these Bakers Boxes is that they are food safe!
They actually also have a clear window, so if I didn't choose to cover it with DSP, you can actually see the contents.

I have created the 'sleeve' of DSP by cutting a 4" strip of the paper and then cutting another 4" 2" piece to fill in the gap. I have then adhered the two pieces together with Tear N' Tape and used it to wrap around the box.
That means that the recipient can just slide this off to reveal what is inside without having to undo the ribbon.

I have coloured the flowers with a mixture of Lovely Lipstick and Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends and coloured the leaves in a mixture of light and dark Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. These all come with coordinating dies in the Forever Blossoms Bundles so easy to cut out!

I have also used the Stitched Shapes Dies in the ovals and a scalloped oval cut from Champagne Foil using the Layering Ovals Framelits for the sentiment which I have stamped in Memento Black from the So Sentimental Stamp Set.

The gorgeous ribbon is one that I actually haven't used too much and that is the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. Doesn't it look beautiful? It's a gorgeous size for this box too!

Here's a close up look at the flower arrangement.
I have used the brand new Gilded Gems from the Ornate Garden Suite to pop in the centres of my flowers. Have I mentioned that I am addicted to these gems? I have been using them like crazy!

I think they really add a nice 'pop' to this box.

You can actually get a packet of these Gilded Gems FREE from me this month when you order $50 AUD or more and use the host code '2WN4ZES' with a handmade card in the mail from me.

Don't forget to check below for a full list of supplies I have used to create today's project.

Big happy weekend to you all and I hope that you are getting plenty of crafting time in!

Big crafty hugs! xx
