Rare Blessing ~ Time To Bloom Card ~ International Highlights

Hey lovely blog reader.
HAPPY TUESDAY!
Today is a day off for me from work. Guess what that means? YEP! Crafty day!

Today I am popping by to share with you a recent card that I made 'just because' and for Kylie's International Highlights.
The theme is 'thank you' and whilst this card doesn't specifically say 'thank you' I think it could be used for a gratitude card to send to a friend and remind them that it is their time to bloom!

I really wanted to play with this Rare Blessings stamp set as I purchased it quite a while ago with good intentions that never quite happened....so now was the time!

I was really inspired to play with colour on this card, which is something that has been inspiring me lots lately. Scroll below to see the colour combination that I have used.

I would love you to pop by Kylie Bertucci's blog and see all the beautiful projects in today's highlights and I would love for you to vote for mine if you like it :)

Here's a look at the completed card.
I really wanted to highlight the beautiful floral image on this card.
So I made a frame with the stunning Stitched Rectangle Dies. Honestly these are a must have!
I use them so much.
If I had to rate my #2 top dies to purchase they would be:
- Stitched Shapes Dies
- Stitched Rectangle Dies
They are so versatile.

I was really inspired by colour, so I have used a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock and sponged in the gorgeous Crushed Curry, Sahara Sand and Pool Party. It's so different but I really love them together!

Here's a close up look at the finished card where you can see the detail.

I have heat embossed that beautiful floral image right on the top of my sponged background (which I have sponged with the fabulous oval makeup brushes which I love so much!) and have heat embossed in our fabulous Black Embossing Powder.

I have also heat embossed the beautiful sentiment in White on some Basic Black Cardstock and fussy cut the sentiment out. I am really loving fussy cutting sentiments lately, especially when they are heat embossed!

It wouldn't be a 'Kayla' card without some Linen Thread and bling!
I have added some of the beautiful Peaceful Poppies sequins in Gold and a Gold Glimmer Heart which is cut from the Detailed Hearts Dies. Honestly I cut one of these out in Gold Glimmer and it has given me so many of these beautiful hearts to use on so many projects!

I have also spritzed my sponged background with some Clear Wink of Stella. Another Kayla touch!

Here's a look at my decorated inside of my card where I have kept it simple with layers of Basic Black and Whisper White, and I have heat embossed another floral in Basic Black.
I finished by adding another sentiment stamped in Crushed Curry ink.

I hope you enjoyed today's project, and be sure to hop by Kylie's blog to check out the rest.
