Springtime Impressions Bundle ~ Hello Friend

Hello lovely peeps.

Guess what????
I just have to say this before I go into today's card.
Want to see it too? Join my team. I promise, it is so worth it!!!!

Ok enough of my excitement. Hehe!
Today I am sharing a fun card that was actually inspired by a lovely lady that used to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator..the lovely Jenny Hall!

She made this gorgeous card using a similar stamp set and I just had to recreate it as this Seriously the Best stamp set was perfect for this Ombre stamping technique!

Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to see a list of all the products I have used in today's post, all of which are available in my store here.

Firstly I want to say that this card uses the fabulous Ombre Stamping technique using the Stamparatus. It really is a fabulous must have tool in your craft room!
The lovely and super fabulous Paula Dobson has a fabulous video showing how to do this technique so go watch it here.

This card itself is actually REALLY simple. I have done layers of Basic Black and Whisper White and then simply completed my ombre stamping using Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point. Once this bit is done I have then taken the beautiful butterfly from the Springtime Impressions Dies and die cut this out with my die cutting machine. When I have done this I have been very careful  to keep as many pieces still in the die cut piece as possible as I want to keep them all in there!
This is called an in-laid die cutting technique.

The easiest way I found to do this was to carefully transfer the die cut piece of white to the Basic Black and adhere with Liquid Glue as many pieces as you can straight away. Any pieces that do happen to fall out, I have simply taken my Take Your Pick Tool and used this to help me pick them up, add some adhesive and stick them back where they are meant to be. It can be a bit like completing a puzzle, which lets face it...times like these - that isn't such a bad thing!

Here's a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the detail.

Before I adhered my black and white layers to the card base of Coastal Cabana, I have added some Linen Thread wrapped around the card and tied in a bow with one of the fabulous Pretty Peacock Best Dressed Tassels.

I have then embellished with some of the those amazing Iridescent Sequins mix!

Of course I have also added spritzes of Wink of Stella!

Here's a look at the decorated insert to the card which I have kept simple with layers of Basic Black and Whisper White and just some stamping from the Seriously The Best Stamp set in Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point.

Wa la! Done!

Such a fun card in all my favourite colours.
