Stampin' Fancy Friday ~ Ornate Garden ~ Easel Card

Happy hump day lovely people!
I am sharing a card with you today as part of the Stampin' Fancy Friday Fancy Folds challenge this month. Gosh it was a fun one!

I decided to branch out and try an easel card with the fabulous new Ornate Garden suite of products that is available for customers to order this month!

When I opened my suite of Ornate Garden products, I fell in love with this gold foiled Mint Macaron Designer Series Paper and that's what inspired this whole was Mint Macaron EVERYTHING! Haha!

Make sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to see links to all the products that I have used in today's card, all of which are available in my store here.

Here's a look at the final card.
Easel cards are actually a lot easier than they first appear.
Step 1) Cut a normal sized card base...I have created a top folding portrait card.
Step 2) Score the front panel of the card directly in half and found a mountain fold.
Step 3) Cut an additional card front the same size as your card base (so in my case it's 10.5cm x 14.9cm)  Adhere the bottom half of this piece to the bottom half of your scored card base.
Step 4) When decorating, ensure you add something to your card insert that will allow the card front to stand up as an easel when opened. In this case I have used the Ornate Borders Dies which creates enough of a 'stopper'.

HINT: I would personally if I did this card again add this 'stopper' further towards the middle of the card to create a bit more of a 'stand up' effect. Live and learn!

Here's a look at my decorated card. I have used those STUNNING Ornate borders dies and cut once again in Mint Macaron..can you tell it's one of my favourite colours at the moment?
I have also cut some additional flower dies in Mint Mac and added those layered on Stampin' Dimensionals for a further fun effect.

I have then added some stamped and fussy cut flowers from the Ornate Style Bundle which I have coloured with a combination of Granny Apple Green and Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends.
I added some Gilded Gems to these of course...because they are stunning!

I have added some Linen Thread, some Wink of Stella (naturally) and kept it at that.

Here's a look at the decorated insert to my card where I have added more of that gorgeous Ornate Garden Speciality Designer Series paper and that Ornate Border die which was die cut from Gold Foil.
I also added some leftover pieces from the die cut flowers in Mint Macaron from the front of the card, with just some simple layers of black and white.

As you can see I have also added some beautiful paper to the envelope flap to carry it all through.

I can see myself using A LOT of this gorgeous paper.
It is just STUNNING!
