Beautiful World ~ You Make the World a Better Place

Hi guys and welcome to my blog.

I have some really exciting news to share with you all!
I got asked to join the Paper Craft Crew Design Team. I was stoked! What an honour!

What is Paper Craft Crew?
It is a weekly card challenge blog that has a variety of challenges from sketches, colour challenges, theme challenges and more!
You can play along each week and enter your card/projects into the challenge.
I would love you to play along with me.

This week the challenge is a sketch and it's a fabulous sketch at that!
I was so inspired by this one, particularly by that corrugated pattern and I immediately just thought of using an embossing folder!

Here's a look at the sketch...

I have decided to create a masculine card for today's challenge using the absolutely amazing Beautiful World Bundle.
See the bottom of this blog post for a list and links of all the supplies I have used on my card.

Here's a look at the finished card.
I chose to use the gorgeous new Old World 3D Embossing Folder to create this textured piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
I have distressed this by adding some Whisper White Craft Ink over the top. This is a great way to really bring out the texture and dimension when you emboss - especially with the fabulous white ink!

I have layered this piece on some Whisper White cardstock and then layered this on some of our new Cinnamon Cider cardstock. I have added this to a Soft Suede card base.

To add some extra 'interest' I have also added some Wink of Stella spritzing and some 'flicks/spritzes' with my Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker.

It's a very masculine and neutral colour scheme today - but I am liking all the brown!

Here's a close up look at the finished card.
I used my Stitched Shapes and Layering Circles Dies to create a piece for my sentiment to be stamped on, I love this sentiment 'You Make the World a Better Place'. There are just so many people I could send that to right now!

I have also added a strip of the World is Good Designer Series Paper, some of the gorgeous Faux Suede Early Espresso Ribbon with one of the Antiqued Slides. These are fab and I can see myself using them lots!

I have then added a stamped quill which I have stamped in Soft Suede on some Crumb Cake Cardstock and die cut with the coordinating dies.  I finished it off with a Linen Thread bow and some of the In Good Taste Wooden Elements (the little plus signs) for a bit of extra texture and dimension.

Here's a look at the inside layer where I have added layers of Whisper White and Cinnamon Cider with some of the World is Good Designer Series paper and a simple stamped sentiment in Memento Black.

I hope you got some inspiration from today's card which is something a little different from me - being that it isn't 'girly'. I love this new suite of products for masculine cards! It's perfect!

Be sure to go and check out the Papercraft Crew Challenge and play along.

Big crafty hugs! xx
