Stampin’ Up! Papercraft Crew Inspiration Challenge #379 ~ Bloom and Grow

Hey lovely people!
I am really excited to be bringing you another post today from a member of the Papercraft Crew design team.

This week's challenge is all about focusing on flowers and 'bright blooms'.
I was inspired to just get the florals out and play with one of my favourite floral sets 'Bloom & Grow'.
Be sure to check out the challenge below with a fun picture to be inspired by!

What is Paper Craft Crew?
It is a weekly card challenge blog that has a variety of challenges from sketches, colour challenges, theme challenges and more!
You can play along each week and enter your card/projects into the challenge.
I would love you to play along with me.

Be sure to check the bottom of this post for links to all the products that I have used today, all of which are available in my store here.

Here's a look at the completed card.
I chose to combine a bit of a fun and different colour scheme for me.
I tend to go through colour phases, and at the moment I am just LOVING Mint Macaron. I have combined it with a few of my other favourites.

Here's a look at the colour combo that I used...

A look at this week's fun challenge. Be sure to head over to the blog and enter your fun project in the challenge. Would love to see you play along!

Here's a close up of the finished card.

I used a fun combination of Stampin' Blends to colour my blooms including; Mint Macaron, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Pool Party. I have then of course done the 'Kayla' thing and added some Wink of Stella.

The Bloom and Grow bundle is super fun as it has some super nifty scalloped border dies that enable you to create this fun 'tuck in' effect with your flowers and add one of the super fun sentiments in between. I chose to use 'Forever Starts Now' which could be used for so many different things.

I have also used one of my current favourite techniques and that is to heat emboss some 'water splats'.
This technique is actually quite simple. All you need to do is 'splat' your Aqua Painter and then sprinkle some embossing powder over the top and heat! Simple!

Lastly I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots and some of the beautiful Forever Greenery Metallic Gold Trim. Love love love this stuff!

Here's a look at the decorated inside to my card where I have replicated the coloured bloom from the front of my card and added another fun sentiment with some simple layers of Basic Black and Whisper White.

Be sure to head over to the Papercraft Crew blog and check out all the other beautiful card and enter in the challenge.

Until next time, big crafty hugs! xx
