Stampin’ Up! Silhouette Scenes ~ Kylie's Demo Training Blog Hop

Hello and welcome back to my blog.
I am excited to be coming to you today to share a new card made with a mixture of new and old products (it's a bit of theme this week!) for the wonderful Kylie Bertucci's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.

I love being part of these hops as they are full of amazingly talented crafters and this particular hop is international meaning that this features demonstrators from all over the world.
I urge you to go check out all the amazing blogs featured in today's hop.
See the list below.

I have included a full product list of all the products I have used in today's project at the bottom of this post, all of which are available in my store here.

Here's a look at my finished card.
I decided to use the beautiful Silhouette Scenes Bundle (Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set and Sweet Silhouettes Dies) This is an absolutely stunning bundle of product that carried over to our brand new Annual Catalogue. I was embarrassed to say I had not really used this bundle and so it was time to get it out to play.

I have sponged my background with a bit of an interesting colour combination for me starting from the bottom upwards using; Cajun Craze, Terracotta Tile, Crushed Curry and then Calypso Coral Inks.
I tend to use Oval Makeup Brushes when I do my sponging but this same technique can be achieved using our beautiful Sponge Brayers.

I have then added some spritzing to this piece using a Water Painter and just 'flicking' it over the card. As our inks are water based, this will remove some of the colour and leave a beautiful 'splotchy' look. I have then spritzed some Wink of Stella...of course!

I then die cut the beautiful large branch from Whisper White Cardstock and dabbed this in my Versamark Ink Pad all over and heat embossed this in Gold.
Before adhering this down, I stamped my 'girl on the swing' stamp with Staz On Black Ink.
Tip: I found it really handy to use my Stamparatus tool for this because I wanted a very dark and jet black look to this image --- so I have stamped it repeatedly about three times using the Staz On.

I have matted this piece on Gold Foil and added some gold trim from the Forever Greenery Trim combo Pack and tied this in a bow.
I have adhered my card front to a Basic Black card base.

Here's a look at the colour combo I have used for today's card...

Here's a close up look at my finished card where you can see some of the detail.
For my sentiment I have used the Sweet Silhouettes Dies to cut out the 'inspire' from Basic Black cardstock and repeated this three times, adhering them all together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. It's fiddly but so worth it!

I then used one of the sentiments that says 'You Inspire Me' from the Sweet Silhouettes Stamp Set and heat embossed this in white on Basic Black Cardstock and just cut out the 'you' and the 'me' and adhered this to my card.

Lastly to embellish I added some Gilded Gems to my top left hand corner.

Here's a look at the decorated inside of my card where I have used layers of Gold Foil and Whisper White and I have added another sentiment in Memento Black and added a dandelion cut from the Sweet Silhouette Dies and heat embossed in Gold once again (as I did on the card front).

I hope you got some inspiration from today's card.

Be sure to go and check out all the other amazing blogs that took part.

Until next time,
Big crafty hugs! xx
